LATE LOCALS.
Secretary Watts of the New Zealand IFire Brigades Association and other members of tho Executive arrived last evening to complete arrangements for the annual conference and the demonstration taking place next week.
Messrs M. Houston and Co. advertise a large assortment ol drapery tor auction at the .Mart on Tuesday next, February 2(itli. A nine roomed house with all conveniences is also offered lor sale.
The young lady champion swimmers were in attendance at the .swimming baths this forenoon and gave instruction in the art of swimming and diving to many of the young folk present. The youths evidently learned a good deal from last night’s display, and some were to be seen attempting the fancy swimming which Misses Stockley and Miller last night displayed so successfully.
