Woodville summer meeting opened in glorious weather on a perfect track with a good attendance. The tolalisator took £15,471 against £13,170 last year. Results:—

GORE R.C. MEETING. GORE, February 20. Gore Racing Club’s summer meeting opened to-day in fine weather. The track was in excellent order. The-at-tendance was good. The gate was £295 14s against £315 4s. on the first day last. year. The tote' handled £9,753?. against £10.399) last year. Subsequent to the Racing Club Handicap, a judicial inquiry was held regarding the crossing of Bright ling . by Queen Balboa, and L. J, Ellis, rider of the latter, was convicted of careless riding and suspended for the remainder oif the meeting. After , the Croydon Handicap, P.
