SWIMMER HURT IN DIVING. CHRISTCHURCH. Feb. 17.J. H. King, aged 20, residing in Durham Street, in the city, was-seri-ously hurt on Saturday when diving from a pier into shallow water at Sumner. He struck the bottom with-his head and he lay in the water unconscious until a bystander jumped in fully clad and brought him out.- His spine is believed to have been dislocated, loday his condition is unchanged, and is verv serious.
