ESTATE BOUGHT

BY THE GOVERNMENT. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Feb. 12. The Minister of Lands announces that the Government has acquired 844 acres of Mr R. L. Levin’s Westella property, between 'Palmerston North and jFeilding. Mr Levin ietains the homestead and buildings. It is anticipated that the block will be subdivided into from ten to twelve farms. The Crown obtains possession on April 30, and it is anticipated that the land will be placed on the market at about the same time. The surrounding district is given up to dairying, and the new area will be a valuable adjunct to that industry.
