V The Gliairman submitted a from the sub-committee (.Messrs Wind, Houston and Heenan) appointed to deal with the damage done to tbo South Wall by the Zingara: That 31 struts would have to be replaced; a'so -lo Oft. of longitudinal bracing. This would require 8000 ft. of timber, of which d,3ooft. can be saved on the beach if prompt action is taken. It would be cheaper and a better job for the struts to lx* fixed on the river side of the wall.

It was moved by Air Keenan and seconded by Air Richards, that price's oe obtained from the local mills for the timber, and the work he done day labour, provided that the Chairninyi’TA can be satisfied that it will be done within the estimate.—Carried.
