Jn reference (o a cable message from London that it: was staled in a report to the League of Nations C ancer Com miltee that four thousand eases o! gynaecological cancer in fifteen years had been treated by two members ol the committee by a combination ol radium rays and X-rays, and that 'from 14 per cent to 20 per cent of the case.had been cured, a leading Dunedin medical man stated to-day that gymecologieal eaneer was very amenable to radium and X-ray treatment more so than any other cancer of the body. This treatment had been used in Dunedin for some years, and ii was found that the results o" gymecologiea I cancer treated by radium were just as good as by surgery. These remarks applied at present to this Horn; of cancer, which was particularly suited to such treatment.
