KING’S HEALTH
THE ROYAL PATIENT. (United Press Associntion —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). LONDON, Eehriuiry 10. The King lay all day upon a silver plated bed from the Royal yacht, resting except for a short period in which he was encouraged to take deep breathing exorcises, which expand the lung affected with empyema. When the King is a little better he will sit in the sunshine under a porch overlooking the foreshore. A further stage in his oonvalesence will be drives which the Queen has planned to Chichester, 'Arundel, Goodwood and other historic houses in the neighbourhood. The King’s meals at present are usually fresh milk pudding which the Queen superintends. The King is delighted with the change from the monotony of his London sick room and is looking forward to seeing his intimate friends, though, the doctors will not yet allow visitors apart from the Royal Family. THE KING’S PROGRESS CONTINUES. BITTER WEATHER. (Received this day at 11.2/5. a.m.) LONDON, February 11. The sea air is so bitterly cold at Bognor that it is impossible to open the windows of the King’s bedroom. The King spent the day in bed, chat-ting-cheerfully with the Queen, Dr Hewitt, and the members of the household. He, however, enjoyed a glimpse of the spray-ridden sea. No bulletin will he issued until Dr Dawson comes to Craigwell in two or three days’ time. The hitter east wind also "kept the Queen indoors.
