OVER 400 CASUALTIES. (United Press Association—By Electric Teleg. ..pli—Copyright). DELHI, Fob. 9. With the arrival of additional military and police, the situation at ilombay has considerably improved, end it is officially announced that the total casualies since the beginning of the riots are 69 killed and 449 injured. As in Calcutta in 1926, the casualty roll now is due. not to clashes between large mobs, but to numerous assassinations, and assaults in narrow by-lanes. The Hindu and Moslem leaders are exhorting their communities to be peaceable. Forty-six Pathans and Moslems have been arrested and charged with 1 ioting.
