He will immediately compete at the indoor tournament- at New York, and then will proceed south to practice before he and Hunter begin a European tour in the coining spring. It is understood he will obtain a place in the national ranking, despite his period of disqualification and will head the list oi tlie first ton. BOSTON, Fob. 11. Jt is stated the Lawn Tennis Association Executive Committee adopted a recommendation that no players, while members of the Davis Cup team or other international team, representing United States shall write or give interviews, or contribute to publications or give radio talks with or without compensation, without the consent ol tlie Davis Cup Committee. It is understood the Executive Committee declined to underwrite an open tournament between professionals and amateurs, which was one of the indicated ways wherein clubs with expensive plants could augment revenue. The intimation was that until the professional association puts its own house in order, no such tournament will be approved. It is an open secret, however, that in tne open tournament grade, the play of the professionals might seriously overshadow that of the amateurs.
