One outstanding feature of the present season’s bookings has been the numerous enquiries and bookings for Egypt and through the Holy Land which may he attributed in part at all ovents to the general improvement in travel and comfort consequent upon the change of control in the affairs of Palestine and the facility with which such tours can now ho made without undue loss of time. Travel within New Zealand has this snnimer broken all prove ins records. All the popular resorts, Rotorua, the Hermitage, and the Fran/, Josel' Glacier, have been, in such favour that at times it has been difficult to secure accommodation without booking ahead.
