SPEAKS IN IRISH. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). LONDON, February 8. De Valera replied to questions in Irish. The Chairman objected, saying that it might be necessary to prove that Do Valera understood the proceedings. A District Police Inspector said that he had conversed with De Valera in English. Th© Chairman asked De Valera whether he had any evidence to call or anything to say. De Valera replied in Irish. The Chairman (heatedly): “ Irish isn’t sicken in this Court. English is the official language.” De Valera again replied in Irish. The Chairman: “We have had enough of this play acting.” He then passed sentence of a month,
