BARE LEGS
CLOTHING REFORMS IN SYDNEY. SYDNEY, Jan. 31 'flic latest dress freaks in Sydney are hare-legged women. While, oblivous to reforms elsewhere, the menfolk of Sydney resolutely decline to attune their c lothing to the seasons, and persist in .going through a sweltering summer in that is practically winter attire, the younger women are exercising an economy in dress, or at least in tho quantity of it. which is becoming frankly alarming to- the more puritanical section'of the community. But of the hare-legged brigade among the fair sex, there are few so far. One, and one only, was seen at the races at Randwick a few days ago. The women who are trying to popularise this form of dress reform would seem to he fighting a hopeless cause. The incongruity of hare legs, however shapely, with an ensemble of frock, hat, and handbag or sunshade, is too much even for the modern average Sydney women. She does not mind divesting herself of more and more of her clothes, lnit she objocts to shedding her hosiery in everyday life.
