WEDDING BELLS

A very pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Caniee’s t'hmvh. Weiport, at $ o’clock on Wednesday morning hy the Rev.- Father I’helan. when Mary, daughter of Mr T. Ryan. <>; Greyuiouth. was married to Boy, sou of Air and Mrs E. MiKendry. of Westport-. The bride, who entered the Church on the arm of tier father, looked charming in a white mariettc frock, daintiiy trimmed with silk lace, the bodice being tight fitting, shirt fully flared. A beautiful veil and coronet of orange blossoms and lovely shower bouquet with silver shoes and stockings completed a charming toilette. The bridesmaids. Miss At. Ryan, sister of the bride, was attired in a pretty frock of coffee lace over pink crepe do chine, and wore a fawn hat relieved with pink.; fawn shoes and stockings. She carried a dainty posie of pink and blue flowers. Air AV. Craddock attended the hridesgroom as host man. After the ceremony, a reception was held at the Elite Tea Booms, where the usual toasts were honoured. Later Unhappy couple left hy private car for Christchurch and AA’ellington. the bride travelling in n smart frock of fawn crepe do chine, relieved with red hat. .shoes and stockings to tone, and black silk coat. The presents received were numerous and costly, testifying to the popularity of the young couple.
