Objections to registration of the Australian f Seamen’s Union promoted by T. Walsh, has been lodged by the (,’ommomvealh Steamship Owners’ Association, the Seamen’s Union of Australia. of which T. Fleming is acting General Secretary, and the Watersiders’ Federation, and Marine Cooks’ and Pantrymen’s Union. Fleming’s affidavit against registration mainly claims that Walsh’ Union is not bona fide, and that existing Seamen’s Union embraces nearly iive thousand members, whose interests are already adequately catered for.
