The official position of the four queen candidates, as disclosed at a count of votes tin's morning at 9 o’clock proves very interesting. Announcements will be made each Wednesday and Saturday, giving the positions of the candidates and the various workers will then bo in a position to increase their activities. The voting at present shows a very small margin between the four candidates. with the balance in favour of the Country Queen. i lie position of the candidates is: Miss Josie O’Neil (Country Queen) 1, Miss Gladys Turner (Fire Brigade) 2, Miss Moira Stopforth (Sports’) 3, Miss Valeria Nightingale (School) 4.
