Maude Bore.-,lord Wilkinson was charged that on < tli January at Reef ton races, she bad printed and published a card headed “West Coast Racing Carnival,” and (ontaining a list of all the names <i Hie horses competing at the races, and that the price was 6d. Defendant had admitted printing the cards, stated Sergeant Fryer, who represented the police. Win ton Gore Porter, secretary of the Reefton Jockey Club, stated that defendant was not authorised to sell cards. He stated that the card produced bv the Sergeant was the cue authorised to be published from the “Times” office. Air Patterson, who appeared for defendant, asked witness were the acceptances on the red card, "Eoriii at a Glance,” by ” Bronco.” Lie same us those witness had given to H’’* “Herald” office.
