ALLEGED ASSAULT
HOSPITAL ATTENDANT CHARGED. WELLINGTON, February 5. The trial of Henry Dixon Tyrer. an A attendant at the Porirua Mental Hoson a charge of having with in- ' tent to do grievoM*.bodily harm caused actual bodily harm to one of the in mates of the institution, was commenced in the Supreme Court to-day, before Mr Justice Herdman and a jury of twelve. Evidence for the prosecu tion proceeded on the' lines of the Magistrate’s Court hearing, tlnfct accused was alleged to kick and punch a patient (who had broken accused’s window) until the patient suffered serious injury. The case will be continued to-mor-row.
