INTO POLICE ACTION. (By Telegraph—Press Association). WELLINGTON, Feb. 6. The Minister of Justice (Hon. T. Wilford) announced that after reading the evidence taken before the Coroner in Auckland, relating to the death of Elsie Walker he had decided to ask the Governor-General to appoint 'Edward Page, S.M., of Wellington, to be a Commission to inquire into and report upon the conduct of all or any members of the Police Force, in regard to enquiries made and steps taken by them concerning the death of Elsie Walker. The inquiry would be open to the press and would commence at Auckland in about three weeks.
