He hoped that the order would * go to the Tyne, though he was afraid that it was more likely that it would go to Northern Ireland. The nmv White Star liner mentioned which will be the largest vessel in the world, is to be of about 60.000 tons. Previous reports of the Cunard Company’s plans have been of a vessel of at least 60,000 tons, and of a speed of twenty-seven to thirty knots. The .1 type/of propulsion is understood; to sj hove been the chief problem.
