RICH COAL FIND
IN THE WAIKATO. (By Telegraph—Press Association). HAMILTON, Fob. 4. A new coalmine on the farm of Messrs C'atavich and Kemp, situated fis r e miles west of Ngarnawahiu, is reported to he very rich. The seam t; are slated to he 10 feet deep on the average over an area of one mile and a-half. Samples of the coal have been analysed, and the quality is reported to equal the highest in New Zealand. The workable coal is estimated at from seven to eight million tons.
