I >run t noil, to-day evoked a remarkable demonstration of the esteem in which he was held by all sections of flu* community. The streets in the vicinity of the Congregational Church, Pitt: Street, where the body lay in state in the forenoon, were lined by citizens. After a short service, the cortege headed by members of Mr Bruntnell’s family, Cabinet colleagues and other Parliamentarians, and representative citizens, moved through the packed streets on the long route to the Northern Suburbs cemetery, where the interment took place.
