They have detained the swagiuan (cabled yesterday) at Marlon, in northern Victoria. The swagman was traced for two hundred miles. He has now been charged with vagrancy. His original story to a Donnybrook hotelkeeper was repeated at Coburg. suburb. where lie told the police that lie was attacked by the driver of tiie ear. who gave him a lilt. Tie ■ said he was robbed, and was then thrown on the roadside. I here was a wound over Ids lelt eye. His ] singlet was bloodstained. ; The police are now questioning him in the Melbourne lock-up.
