SYDNEY, January 31. .Although the Sheffield Shield competition is unfinished New South Wales is the winner, with Victoria runnerup. New South Wales lias won the Shield eighteen times since the competition was inaugurated in IS9£, Victoria eleven, and South Australia four. N.S.W. TEAM TO PLAY ENGLAND. SYDNEY, Jan. 30. The New South Wales team to play England on February 13, will be chosen from the following thirteen:— Kippax, T. Andrews, Oldfield, McCabe, Fairfax, Hooker. Marks, Bradman. Jackson, Nicholls, Everett. Morris and C. Andrews.
