STRANDED ZINGARA
Ycsterdav, with the steamer Nile steaming at the end of a tow rope, an endeavour was made to pull the /Angara to sea. The vessel was shitted out a considerable distance but held on the ground and then later was washed back some distance. Early this morning, with the northerly bloving., the vessel swung round nearly broadside on to the beach. Last night’s rain brought, clown a «troiu' fresh in the river, and further operations are delayed until the conditions moderate. . Captain McArthur lias been advised bv the Westport Harbour Board that their t-ug will be available for towing purpose whenever her services are as *- ed for. The Minister of Marine (Hon. Cobbe) has also approved of this action.
