Jack Sharkey (193 pounds) won on a close decision in a 12-round contest at Madisn Square Gardens from “Kayo” Llilistener (193 A 'pounds). Christner fought gamely throughout, hut Sharkey’ skill and experience told in the latter rounds, enabling him to outpoint his opponent, who, however, is still considered a potentially formidable heavyweight contender. He was formerly an iron worker at Akron Ohio. Although he has no great boxing ability, his chances are not overlooked.
