PASSION CRIMES
FRENCH .MURDER. TRIAL. (United Press Association—By Eiectric Telegraph—Copyright). PARIS, January 25. A lurid light was thrown on the psychology of crimes of passion in France, at the trial of Madame Godin, at the Assize Court, Riom, when charged with the murder of her husband. Madame had been divorced before she married, and was the mother of two grown-up girls. She bought her sec\ oml husband a business, but said he was lazy and addicted to women. There were continual quarrels and finally the angered wife pulled a loaded revolver from her stocking, and holding her husband with her right hand, shot him with the left, in the presence of her daughters, who did not intervene. When the husband fell, the wife bent over his. dead body and said: “ Poor devil 1 I should like to kiss you, but I can’t. You are dying for the kisses of others.”
