VISIT OF HON. W. VEITCH

Mr J. O’Brien, M.P., advises as follows in regard to the tour of Westland of Hon W. Veitch (Minister of Mines): — Leave Creytnouth on Thursday, January 31st, at 9 a.m. 'Spend half an hour at Kurnara receiving deputations and arrive at Hokitika in time for lunch. In the afternoon will visit Rimii dredge and other points of interest, receiving deputations at 8 p.m.. •. Leaving Friday at 8.45 a.m. for South Westland, arriving at Ross at 9.45 a.m. Receive deputations and leave at 10.15 a.m. for Harihari, arriving at midday for lunch, take deputations and depart for Matainui arriving at 2.30 p.m., taking deputations and leaving at 3 p.m. for Okarito. Receive deputation and leave at 4 p.m. for Wailio. Saturday will be spent at Wailio and if time permits will visit Fox Glacier. Return on Sunday to Hokitika, leaving on Monday morning for Christchurch.
