THOUGHTS FOR THE TIMES.
On The ATap
Bognor, the beautiful little seaside resort, where His Afajestv the King is to convalesce, is a sheltered raiiook overlooking the English Channel, on the Sussex coast, only 66 miles Loudon. Actually, it is in the C’hichester parliamentary division of Sussex, . ™ and is tapped by Brighton-South Coast railway. Bognor has a population of about 7000, which rises to half as much again in the summer holiday period. There arc several convalescent homes in the place, as the result of the recognition hv the medical profession of the curative and stimulating virtues of its air. Bognor has the promenade and pier associated with all such south, coast watering places, and its proximity to the Metropolis, and the absence of such crowds as frequent Brighton, Bournemouth, and ottofe'seaside resorts make it desirable to those who only require rest, quiet, and clean sea air of the Channel.
