AIR CLUB BEQUEST
HON. WJLFOILD’S REPLY’. By Telegraph—Press Assn., Copyright AYKLLINGTOX, Jan. 21 i. Replying to tt depiitation front -Mnnawatu Aero Club asking for ofltcial recognition from the Government. Hon. T. \Y". Wilford said if the Club complied with all conditions laid down, lie would be only too glad to give them monition. They would have to have (|tialiiied instructors and a ground engineer. who would be responsible for the maintenance in airworthy condition of the air craft and equipment. There is no possibility during the present financial year of the Government assisting the Club in purchasing a machine but be could say quite fairly that if the Club purchased an aeroplane not exceeding a thousand sterling the Government would help it. Subject to Cabinet ratification, the money would be refunded during the next financial year.
