EYERYBOOYS PICTURES.
A GREAT COMEDY TONIGHT.
An unsafe and insane Fourth of July was celebrated by George Sidney and Charlie -Murray during the filming of “The Life of lliley,” in which they are co-featured m a riotous comedy plot. They->celc bra ted Independence JJay together; OUt of season by sharing with a carload of exploding giant crackers, rockets, Roman candles, and all the other pyrotechnics invented for the youth of the land. ’Twas for the camera,;of course; one of a hundred ingenious thrills and comedy elements introduced to make “The Life oi Kiloy ” one of the most hilarious of the year. E. M. Asher produced the film for First National Pictures, and William Beaudine directed it. Splendid comedy characterizations are provided for Sidney any Murhiy, as Polite Chief and Fire Chief respectively, of a small town. Myrtle Stodmah enacts the role of a charming widow to whom both pay court; Stephen Carr and June Marlowe carry on a pretty junior romance; Sam Hardy is a picturesque sharper and villain and Edwards Davis has an excellent supporting 'part. The story was written especially for the famous comedians by. Mann Page, playwright and photoplay writer. Howard J. Green adapted it. for the screen iind Curtis Renton, wrote the Continuity. Jn addition to this trio of-authors, further ingenious comedy’ \vns injected into the story during the filming by Jack Mintz, comedy constructor.
A topical, -scenic and comedy will also be shown to-night.
