MILK BELOW STANDARD,

HAMILTON, Jan. 23
Ralph Griffiths, a milk vendor, was charged at the Magistrate’s Court this me ruing with selling milk <d 2.2 hutlorfat test against the 3.25 test required bv the regulations. He pleaded not guilty, stating, in his evidence, that the milk was not sufficiently stirred to keep the cream evenly distributed.
The '"Magistrate,' after hearing the Health Inspector, imposed a fine of £5.
SLY GROG 'SIDE LINE,
CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 24
Albert Edward Orange, bootmaker and saddler,’ of Hanmer, was charged at Culverden to-day with selling liquor in a no-license district, and illegally keeping liquor for sale in a no-license district. After police evidence had been tendered, Orange, who had pleaded not guilty', withdrew his plea, and pleaded guilty. He was fined £25 with costs on each of the two charges.
