CUT IN COURT PRESENTATIONS

LONDON, Jan. 23

A new regulations at this year’s Courts states: “No lady who has been presented within the last three years can have her name submitted except under the most exceptional circumstances.” It is understood that this is framed with a view to keeping the presentations within reasonable limit. There has been such a deluge of applications in recent years from all parts of the Empire that the strain on Their Majesties, through standing nearly three hours, has been too great. Queen Victoria, in her later years, was accustomed to sit during Court. Probably this precedent will be revived.
