BRISBANE, January 23
A mother and her seven children from Julia Creek, in Central Western Queensland, came to Brisbane and visited a seaside resort at Redcliffe. Rain fell there on the first night tlia they were at Rcdeliflc. One of the party, a girl, seven year old, bad never seen rain before, and she became so excited that she stood in the rain and bad a natural shower bath. The mother explained that she had almost forgotten the sound of rain. She bad seen none since the night that her seven-year-old girl was born. She added that they relied on artesian bores for water at Julia Creek.
