For the second day of the Wellington Racing Club summer meeting the weather is dull with light showers and threatening. The attendance is fair and track in good order. Maunguroa High-weight Handicap—* (7) lmarosebud 1, (4) Courageous 2, (2) Quarterdeck 3. All started. Won,' hy half a length; two lengths. Tima 2.10.
Trial Pate:—(lo) Athol Spear 1, (9)' Billion 2, (1) Paquito 3. Scr: Stan Raid. Won by a head. Time 1.28*. January Handicap:—(2) Panther (1) Ruanui 2, (6) King Midas 3. Scr:! Doree, Kilbronsyth. Heads separated the placed horses. Time 1.39*. Nursery Handicap:—(l) Gay Ballerina 1, (9) Equitant 2, (6) Francolin 3. All started. Won by a neck, Time 1.13.
