CHBISTCH URCH, Jan. 28. ’> feature of tu-day’s Addington live stock sale was a large entry of West. -Coast iambs, which sold well. •Beef J here was a small entry, the ttjja.l being 4.50 head. Selling .prices were from par to an easing of 25s on unattractive lots. Steers sold ; Choice prime., £17 to £2l, heavy medium £l6 to £lß,'average prime £l4 to £ls 15s, unfinished £ll to £l3 10s. Cows and heifers sold; Heavy grade £l4 to £l6 10s, medium grade £9 10s to £l3 10s, light and plain £0 10s to £8 15s. . Fat Lambs-—There were 2470 yarded. The market was a good one, the schedule rates being more than maintained. There were large West Coast consignments, and these commanded satisfactory realisations, thus terminating tne vendors’ risks of probable disappointment as to the uncertainty of factory certificates, such as grades, condemnations and bruised. West - Coast sales were to 33s per head. Store Sheep and Store Lambs—The 1 best consignments sold from 25s to 275, medium 22s to. 24s 6d, fair 19s to 2.1 s fid, small and culls 14s to 18s. The West Coast lambs sold: Downs 25s -Bd, Romneys 255. Borders 23s to 265. There was a good demand for West Coast consignments, especially for those of the Border-Leicester cross and the Down cross. Fat Sheep—The market was on a par with that of last week.
