Some excellent tennis was witnessed at the third day of the Wairarnpa ana North Island tennis tournament, fine weafhtr again, prevailing. In the semi-final of the men’s championship singles, Malfroy heat Steedman G—3, G—2. A. L. France beat Stuart 6—l, B—G. In the semi-final of the ladies’ championship singles, Miss Myers beat Miss Andrew 3 —G, G —o, G —o. Miss Macfar|a.nc and Airs Alelody meet in the other .semi-final. In the men’s championship doubles semi-finals, \\ ilson and Maliroy beat Lampc and Williams G—o, G—3. Stuart and Stedman heat France and Rollings G—3, I—G, 6—4. In the ladies’ championship doubles semi-finals, Airs Adams and Miss Myers beat Misses Alacl'arlane G—4, 6—4. Airs Alelody and Al.iss Sliortt heat Alisses Andrews and Gibson 3—G, G—2, G—3. The boys’ championship singles was won by It. Bunny, who beat A. G. Balfour in the final 6 —3, 6 —l. The girls’ title was won by Miss Prignell, who beat Aliss N. Balfour G—2, 6—l. The final of the men’s B. grade handicap doubles went to Phillips and Baker (5), who accounted for Waldin and Robinson (10) 70—67.
