The Prince of Wales first public appearance since, his rush home from East A’frjca was made when he unexpectedly attended the England-Wales Rugby match at Twickenham. He had not decided on ,tlic visit till, lie called at Buckingham, Palace in the morning and learned the King had maintained his progress. The. attendance of the match was sixty thousand and the Prince received an ovation. The teams were presented to him, the crowd singing the National Anthem and “God Bless the Prince of Wales,” led by Welsh, choirs which, a few minutes earlier had been singing the Red Flag.
