INAUGURAL FUNCTION. LONDON, Jan. 17. Thirty-three ' middle-aged men, survivors of nine Antarctic expeditions between 1898 and 1922, dined together at the Cafe Royal. They included a dozen who served with the Terra Nova, in 1910-13, when Captain Scott and four others reached the South Pole and perished in a blizzard when only one day’s journey from safety. The dinner inaugurated the Antarctic Dinner Club, formed to revive old associations and keep green the memoiy of those five who reached the objective and others who last their lives in the Antarctic.
