SYDNEY’S COUNCIL. SYDNEY, January 19. have urged Premier Bavin to provide for the election olf a new City Council at the end of the yetjr, when the present term of the City Commission expires. A Greater Sydney scheme is foreshadowed N in the Premier’s policy speech and promises to be very conten-. tiols when brought before the Nationalist Party. There is another section of Nationalists and Labour supporters who contend that the term of the Civic Commissioners should be extended tfor another period of years to enable them to complete the good work which they have commenced.
