At its last meeting the Cabinet decided that all officials of the prefectoral administration which represents the central authority in the province shall he transferred to other posts unless they have an adequate knowledge of Genua n. By this decision the Prefect of the Bas-Rhin Department and the majority of the sub-prefects of Alsace will be replaced. M. 'Susini, the Prefect the Haut-R.hin Department, is one of the few high officials who will retain their posts.
