TRANSFER OF PRIESTS
t 4 (Bv Telegraph—Press Association). (‘HRISTCJ.IUIU'H. January IS. The following transfers <>! priests ol . the Marists Order are announced:-- | Very Rev. Eatlior O’Connell, of St. . Mary’s. Christchurch, to Nelson; Rev. Father Alex. MacDonald (formerly of Reelton), from Hastings to Christchurch); and Rev. Father Home, of Nelson to Timaru. The Rev. Father Thos. Gilbert. 5.M.., ALA., has been appointed Rector of St. i Bede’s College, Christchurch,-in succcssion to the Rev. Dr Genncy, who lias , been transferred to the Marist Semiuarv at Greenmeadows. Hawke’s Bav. Rev. Father Gilbert is a West Coaster, and a brother of Air W. B. Gilbert. Secretary of the Greymoiith Harbour Board. He was formerly Rector cl St Patrick’s College, Wellington.
