It is also, believed that many of the passengers wore disbanded Chinese soldiers. Heavy seas are believed to be the reason why the vessel was driven on the rocks. The Hsinwali was of two thousand tons, and seven years old. She sank with the utmost suddenness, giving no chance for those aboard.
