LONDON, January 15. ■ Tlie Commonwealth of Australia-loan of eight million 5 per cent 1945-75 at £9B has been underwritten. GRANT TO POPE. LAND AND INDEMNITY. ROME, Jan. 15. It is stated on good authority that an agreement has been received in solution of the Roman question under which the Italian Government will give the Holy See an extension of territory" south-east of the Vatican gardens, thus conferring the right of extra-territor-iality, and the forming of a small state on lines of San Marino. The "Holy See will also receive an indemnity of £40,000.
