(Received this day at 0.25. a.m.) OTTAWA, Jan. 15.
A message, from Chariot Letowii. Prince Edward Island, sl ates Ihe “Guardian” attacking the trade treaty says two shipments of New Zealand buffer totalling live, and a bail' million pounds recently landed at Halifax, means that amount of Canadian butter must look elsewhere for a market. This is what fanners, dairymen of the con nI ry are up against. Competitors enjoy .summer weather and excellent pasturage while our own cattle must he kepi in stalls, eating their heads olf. I low long does Ottawa propose to remain blind to the interests of the great Canadian industry. Thanks to the quality of its product island dairymen have had a good year. Undoubtedly they would have done hotter if they had been spared this unwelcome invasion.
