Macdonald Smith, of New York won the ten thousand dollars golf tournament for the second successive year, with a score of 285. Darkness prevented several of the leaders from finishing, which they will do to-day, with Armour apparently second. Hagen’s total was three hundred and six. Armour was first in the preliminary eighteen holes with sixty-eight. Kirkwood and Hagen tied for twentysixth place. In the first 36 holes, Armour was first with 135, .Hagen twentieth with 151, and Kirkwood failed to qualify.
