WANTS UNION RULES ALTERED. (Australian Press Association) (United Service.) MELBOURNE,, Jan- 13. The Commonwealth Steamship Owners’ Association is objecting to the registration of the Australian Seamen’s Union unless the latter’s rules are altered. . . , The owners contend that the I nion s definition of industry is too wide, and may complicate business by involving the Association in disputes extending to other countries. The rules were lodged in Noveinh"" Now. another organisation, the Seamens’ Union of Australasia plied for registration. The owners may lodge objection thereto also.
