He says he is dissatisfied with the inspection of meat in the countries ol origin, as it is insufficiently rigorous. The danger seems to he glossed over. The disease is a menace to health, particularly in the poorer districts, where diseased meat is too frequently and brazenly exposed. The origin ol the disease which is not tubercular, is believed to he in the soil,*
