'By Telegraph.—Special to Guardian} WELLINGTON, Jan. 12. The Corinthic, which was expected to nrrive on Monday, has radioed that ,sli6 will not arrive till daybreak next Tmirsday. A\ nen the Rotorua was 180 miles from Wellington, a leak was discovered in the stern gland of the starboard propellor. She . turned back owing to the impossibility of effecting repairs at sea. Although a considerable amount ot water entered through the damaged gland, two pumps were sufficient to control the inflow and both engines were worked at normal. A diver made an inspection this morning and assisted the engineers to remove the gland. It is expected the Rotorua will be ready to resume the voyage this afternoon. On the last visit to England the packing the glands of both propellers was renewed.
