SCHOOL INSPECTOR. (By Telegraph—Press Association). WELLINGTON, January 11. I). G. Bull, L.L.8., for the past two years organising teacher under the Taranaki Education Board, has been appointed Inspector of Native Schools under the Department of Education. A EIRE.

BLENHEIM, .Jan. 11

J. J. Wensley’s furniture factory, a brick building in 'High Street, was completely gutted by fire at 2.30 this morning. When discovered, the flames had enveloped and were in charge of the whole building. The Brigade had no chance of saving either the building or contents, which are a total loss.

A house adjoining was slightly damaged. The damage is estimated at over £O3OO. Insurances total three thousand as follows:—Building £1(300, machinery £750, stock £750, all in Liverpool, London and Globe.

TWO BOYS MISSING. NAPIE'R, Jan. it

Grave alarm is felt here for the safety of two sons of Rev. N. <T. end Mrs Oxbrow, of Hastings. Two hoys Len (aged 10) and Roy (aged 7) went fishing at Haumoana yesterday morning and have not been seen since. A shirt and small pair of pants were found by a search party on the banks of Tukituki river. Rev. Oxbrow is at present visiting Auckland.

ONE BODY FOUND

NAPIER. Jan. 11

The body of Len Oxbrow was recovered from the river. There is no sign of the other boy.
