N.Z.’S NAVY
MANOEUVRES AND CRUISE*. AUCKLAND. Jan. 9. Men of the New Zealand Division oi the Royal Navy on holiday leave will return to their ships on Saturday, and on Tuesday H.M.S. Dnnedhi and H..M.S. Diomede will leave Auckland to carry out manoeuvres and gunnery practice in Hauraki Gulf. The cruisers will return on January 2oth. and remain in port for the Anniversary Pay regatta on January 29th. They will leave next day for Russell, where the Division pulling regatta will probably be beld. The cruisers will return to Auckland on February Bth. in time for the combined training operations to be, carried out at Waiwcra in conjunction with Territorial Forces and the New Zealand Air Force. The Laburnum will leave Auckland on Wednesday for Tauranga remaining there for four days before proceeding to the gulf for exercises and gunnery practice, joining H..M.S. Veronica, which will leave Auckland next Thusday direct for the gulf. Roth sloops will return to Auckland on .January 25th. The movements of H.M.S. Diomede are not vet definitely known.
